101 Fun-to-Quilt Pot Holders

Featuring new themes and fresh twists on traditional looks, 101 Fun-to-Quilt Pot Holders is sure to inspire even the most experienced quilter. And because these are small projects that can be completed in mere hours, this is a great way for beginner quilters to get started, too. The majority of the block designs in this book are 8" square, so patterns can be mixed, matched, and stitched together without a lot of fuss to make bed spreads, table runners, or any other project that incorporates quilt blocks. What’s more, the patterns themselves are simply lovely. The holiday themed pot holders would make especially festive hostess gifts. Piecing and Appliqué templates included.

Such a lovely book!
March 21, 2012

I love this book for a number of reasons, not least of which is that every one of these gorgeous blocks could so easily be used for a quilt or pocket on an apron. Well set out with plenty of instructions and different difficulty levels so even a new patchwork/quilter can start and build on their ability. Each chapter is themed with three or four different squares. This include "Fresh Fruit" with appliqued pears, apples, cherries and oranges, one called "Falling Leaves" with a lovely Fall theme, "English Garden" with green lawns bordered by your choice of floral patterns for flower beds, and "American Pride" in red, white and blue to brighten your 4th July kitchen and grill area. This is one of the books on my Top Twenty list.

I am just starting to do some quilting, and was very pleased with this book. Good diagrams, with templates, great directions. It even inspires different projects. I think this is a great buy. Not at all disappointed.

I really love this book and can hardly wait to get started making many of the projects. The ideas are just amazing and the instructions look to be very easy to follow, which I appreciate because I am new to quilting. Very good projects to make for gifts or for yourself.
