When I first received this book I was disappointed because it didn't have any pictures in it. I put it on the shelf and forgot about it. One day I picked it up and started flipping through it and realized it is very informative. Wish I had taken the time when it came in to really look at it.
If you are looking for a book with a lot of pictures to go with the details.....you will not find it, however, it has a lot of very good ideas and I really liked it that she went over all the different wood floors and which will fit best in your home. I also liked it that she made of list of rugs and explained each material from wool to nylon. Once I picked it back up and started reading I ending up finishing it within a couple of hours.

Great book of design ideas, I loved them BUT her constant attempt at humor and conversational wit was irritating after the second page. If you can look past her writing style and concentrate on her design style it'll be a winner.
