Great ideas, good instructions ~ may need special ingredients or supplies, but when its a special occasion that's what makes it fun.

Although this book would be fabulous for someone who has a lot of time and a lot of money to spend on expensive ingredients, the average person just will not use this book a lot. I am looking forward to trying several recipes and really, almost all of them look very good, just not easy to make and definitely not on a budget!

Love this cookbook

I just love this cookbook. The recipes I have tried have all turned out great. The focus of the collection is on easy, casual entertaining and Chef Rather has provided excellent recipes with ideas for variation. All the recipes provide "Do It Early" instructions so there is no guess work involved in doing most of the cooking 1-3 days before your party. Even though the focus is on entertaining I use the recipes for family dinners, too.
